Preparing for your course

Thank you for booking your spraying course!

Here's all the details you need to know before attending your spraying course with us.

Please note: Bookings are only confirmed when payment is made, we cannot reserve spaces without payment. Please note if you have not received a confirmation email, your space hasn't been reserved. Please ensure that you check the details on your confirmation email. If you're unsure of any of the details then please do get in touch.

Course timings

Your course will start at 9am and finish at around 5pm.

If you are running late for your course or stuck in traffic, please WhatsApp the office on 07367604265.

What you need to bring with you

✅ Respirator mask
Please bring a mask with you for spraying. If you don’t have a mask, we have them available onsite for purchase. The cost is £60 including VAT and we can accept cash or card.
❌ Equipment
You don't need to bring any equipment with you on the day (other than your mask). We will supply all spray equipment and sundries. We sell everything used on the course, from spray equipment to tapes. If you'd like to bring your own spray equipment with you, you are welcome to do so.
❌ Food
You do not need to bring any food with you. We supply lunch and all refreshments. If you have any dietary requirements, please get in touch with us beforehand. Please also send us your lunch options (scroll to see below).

Frequently asked questions

❓ What to wear
Please wear decorators whites if you have them. If you don't then please wear comfortable, casual clothes which you don't mind potentially getting messy. In the colder months, we would advise bringing an extra layer.
❓ Buying spray equipment
If you're interested in purchasing a sprayer after your course and you'd like to discuss your options, or reserve a package please get in touch beforehand either via email or WhatsApp.
❓ What will you leave with
You will leave with an information pack with important details from your course. You'll also receive a certificate* and our courses are approved by the Construction Industry Training Board. *This is, of course, assuming you pass which most people do.

Finding us

The Academy is in the countryside about a 10 minute drive from the nearest town Chippenham. Please see options below for if you're looking to stay over and would like hotel recommendations.

The postcode is SN15 4BU. This will take you to a collection of units surrounded by a car park. We are the larger taller unit on the left hand side (Units 1 & 2). If the gate is not already open when you arrive, feel free to let yourself in and get parked up in the car park outside the unit. If you're unsure, please just call or WhatsApp us on 07367604265.

Popular hotels for Wiltshire Academy

The Foxham
A small pub out in the countryside, just around the corner from the Academy. There are no shops nearby however they have a nice onsite restaurant and cosy rooms at a good price.

This hotel is in the nearest town Chippenham, a 10 minute drive from the Academy. It is at the top of town, surrounded by shops and a short walk from restaurants and bars, right next to the train station.

There are some nice Air BnB options in the local area. Search around the Academy postcode SN15 4BU. The nearest town is Chippenham. Neighbouring villages are Christian Malford, Foxham and Sutton Benger.

Flying to us

Bristol Airport is the closest airport to our Academy, approximately a 1‑hour drive away. You can:

Hire a car and drive directly to us.
Or take public transport: the Airport Flyer (A1) bus runs every few minutes from the terminal to Bristol Temple Meads station, taking around 25–30 minutes.
From Temple Meads, you can catch a direct train to Chippenham, and then it's about a 10‑minute drive to the Academy.

The Travelodge in Chippenham is within easy walking distance of the train station and makes for a convenient stay. You can get a taxi from there to the Academy—or if you'd prefer, just let us know, and we can arrange a lift to and from your course.
